  • Sounds great! I love my sex drive with my 52RI and Twin Reverb, it's not just a blues pedal.

  • Agreed, just used some of the Durham SD on a recording I did with Calvin Weston and Tom Spiker, very versatile pedal for sure.

  • Jason,

I sure appreciate your demo. I have a Victoria 45410 Bassman coming this Friday.

It's got 5881 tubes in it and I can't wait!

    Which Strat are you playing?

    Thanks for the good work...

  • Hi,

Congrats on getting a Victoria, I love mine. I'm using it in a few clips that I have up. At some point I'll put up some more with different guitars and pedals maybe. The strat is a standard Fender USA Fiesta Red strat from about 93 stock pickups. Hard to find lefty. Thanks for checking out the clips. Best, JC

  • I think I hear Ronnie Earl's influence- you a fan? Saw Ronnie in the 90's here in R.I.-great stuff.

  • Also in the market... was that speacial order for the 5881 tubes.... how does that change tone in the 45410? Not sure if I should just order with stock tubes? Play mostly Blues/Hendrix/Floyd/Stones/

  • Just Got this amp used. Best amp I have ever owned, had marshalls, fenders, and most recently mesa lone star special combo and they all come up short compared to this tone monster! Responds to your playing like butter on a warm summers day!

My search for the dream tone is over.

    Thanks for the post

  • have u tried the Victoria Golden Melody ?

I played one the other day, UNBELIEVABLE !!

  • Hey you know Durham came out with a smaller version (right after I bought mine). Not that the original one is crazy big though just FYI.

I never liked having to use a pedal but I got the SD to push my Twin hard at reasonable volume which it does great. I mainly play my Tele clean with a tad compression, this pedal with low(er) output

Novak pickups makes the guitar come alive!

It also sounds awesome with my Esquire and Fralin PUP.

  • An interesting pedal to try with this amp , is a Boss/Roland Space echo /.It has Reverb but not like Fender reverb , but good for me just a hint of reverb . Also has input volume, wich is a mild overdrive .And of course it has alot of tape echos ,slapback, long echos . Not real tape echo but those are a bit of maintenance . Setzer uses the original ,real tape echo of the original Roland Space echo when playing live . The tape saturation gives it an analogue warmth and overdrive .

  • this whole rig, and especially your playing, sound killer, thanks for a great demo.
