I like the topic and how you do it, but the motorcyle muffler is way to loud and annoying....

after you strain the peels, I would rinse them in the water of the simple sugar mixture just to get the extra alcohol and flavor out

I would not throw the rinds out. I am sure you can shred it in the processor and use it in a cake recipe.

How come the finished product isn't see though like it was when you filtered it?

@purity4all Because that was the first filtration , with the alcohol and rinds only , when you add the sugar water or simple syrup it changes the appearance to the finished product...

@purity4all At 5.16 you can see the change when I add the simple syrup , it changes the look , we also filter it a second time after the resting period.

Wow, these look like they'd make nice Christmas presents, but since Christmas is so close, I'll have to settle for my mom's birthday in February. I don't know if anybody has asked this question yet....but where'd you buy the bottles from? They are nice.
