It reads like a soap opera: best friends, one tearing himself away hoping to leave a legacy, the other clinging to its past, embittered by the man the other had become! Puh-leeze. Jim Doyle and the teachers' union were BFF's until Doyle suggested Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett take over MPS. Now the union is firing back at its former benefactor trying to salvage a failing MPS in its own way. My question? Where were all these ideas before?
