Bix Lives!!

A visit to the Bix Beiderbecke music festival. Good friend Ge and I did this in July, 2006. We didn't have much of a view for some of the time but the music was pretty good.

Thank you. All my life I've wanted to go to the festival. When I was kid my best friend was from Davenport and always bragged about Bix. His dad loved Bix and that's how I first heard Bix. They had a bumper sticker on their car that simply said "Bix Lives". It's the one bumper sticker that I would put on my car -and all over my guitar cases. Oh to be in Davenport in July.

shut up. didn't do heroin...just drank too much like every other jazz musician of the time and it got to him first. 90 years later, get over it. all that is left is his music.

Hey Jim, I really like your video of the Bix Fest. My wife & I went up for it 3 or 4 years ago and had a great time. We might have to return this summer for another good strong dose of trad jazz. Your video sure brought back the memories! Tom Warner in Kansas City = tdub1941
