ever think covering a song isnt meant to be an EXACT replication of the song? its SRV's version, hes showing respect for Hendrix by covering it live, and i bet if you ask 99% of people who listen to both SRV and hendrix he did an incredible job.
and no shit he cant get the feel hendrix did, NOONE can, thats one of the reasons why Hendrix was the best, and i can promise you both hendrix and srv were drugged out.

Hendrix is God but, no one channeled Jimi better than Stevie, no one!!!
I saw Stevie Ray a few times and every time I felt like I was blessed to see him perform. The man was a guitar God!!
