Struggle to secure Financial Stability
If you are like me, in your 40s and having a presumably stable job, how do you go about securing financial stability for your family in the future, in this rapid cyclical boom and bust economy?

According to recent reported surveys, the statistics are daunting:-

The percentage of employed residents in Singapore earning $10,000 or more per month is only 4.7%.

8% of population is confident of attaining sufficient funds for retirement.

Crude oil doubled in price to hit USD147 a barrel in one year. Inflation is at a historical high of 6 to 7%, which will more than wipe out all our gains from the low rates of returns from our savings (in banks and CPF) and in safe investments.

Recession is literally at our doorsteps our job itself will be at risk, and most likely we will have to forgo our hard-earned bonus and salary rise.

Hence, it is not surprising to see many money-not-enough people like us swarmed to attend get-rich-quick stocks, options, futures, CFDs and forex trading courses which advertised stupendous gains in days, weeks or months. The minimum course fee to fork out for each is $3,000. In the end, most of us would have our accounts almost wiped out after a matter of months, not mentioning the emotional upheavals (greed, hope, fear & anger) we went through.
