I grew up a liberal, a democrat and a blind fool. I listened to reagan and understood, It gave me a valuable insight on life, morality and changed my views. Schools taught me, society showed me and the media influenced me to think,to believe, that all war is bad, all human progress is at the cost of others. To fladulate myself with guilt for my prosperity. And then when i wanted to hate Reagan and educate myself against him using his own words as my ammo, I changed and I understood.

@Buddy212002 Well, I'm pro-life cuz I believe life starts with the zygote, and abortions would rid the baby from the rights of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, and because killing someone is generally against the law and obviously against my Christian faith.

I oppose any war unless we were attacked. I'm a non-interventionist, and even to the extent of calling myself isolationist, like Switzerland usually is. I'm basically a libertarian, so I'm for minimum regulation. I can see you're

@rhinnawi95 I advocate regulations for Wall Street because history has proven that it is important to separate commercial banks from investment banks especially since tax payer money was used to bail out private concerns time and time again. I'm against wars in countries where we are not wanted and that we can not pay for. Ike warned us about land wars in Asia and I trust his judgement. I am pro-life because I'm a Roman Catholic,but that's a religious and not a political conviction.

@Buddy212002 Makes sense. I can see that you're clearly not a party-politics advocate. I was just talking about political views, like whether you advocate big government (over-regulation and such), wars in Iraq or Afghanistan, pro-life vs pro-choice, that kind of thing.

@rhinnawi95 I think that credit has stalled because both Bush and Obama bailed out investment banks. The banks won't lend money because their bad assets were bought by the tax payers. I blame Clinton for the repeal of Glass/Steagall and NAFTA. I think Reagan is also partly to blame because his policies helped to destroy small business. I don't think we should be so closely aligned with Communist China because they use child/slave labor, and wealth is far too concentrated in our economy.

I personally think your situation isn't being helped with all of the extra regulation and doesn't let businesses hire as much as we would like because employees are becoming decreasingly convenient, as is owning a business and making money in this country.

What are your views (out of curiosity)?

@rhinnawi95 OK, you have your beliefs and I have mine. Read, The Shadow out of Blooming Grove about Warren Harding. As for Reagan: The Politics of Rich and Poor by Kevin Phillips, The Role of a Lifetime by Lou Cannon. Phillips was a Republican, Lou Cannon was a reporter and friend of Reagan's. I have a MA in history and I got a 620 on the history GRE. I'm also long term unemployed and not very happy. Obama is on the payroll of Wall Street, he is a complete disaster. Peace.

@Buddy212002 you chose some really good, more conservative presidents to criticize, and so I made what turned out to be a false inference, and I apologize for it. I still don't see why we should defame presidents who ran our country the right way at the right time, though.
