Wicked Edge Sharpening a Kershaw Skyline Dull to Extremely Sharp

Kershaw Skyline in 14C28N HRC 58-60 Dull to Hair Whittling Sharpness on the Wicked Edge Precision Sharpener system. This is the most accurate sharpener on the planet that I know of. Push cutting phonebook paper at just 600 grit.

I tried to make a quick sharpening video, I really did but things don't always go as planned so here is another long & maybe boring video. Grab some popcorn or sit down & eat dinner & I assure you if you watch the entire video you will learn something though. This video took hours putting together the dozens of clips even on my water cooled 4GHz Quad Core PC, not to mention 7 hours to upload 4+ GB vid.

@celloman464 I'd say about every 3 knives that I put a mirror polish on. You can tell when they need replacement because it takes a long time to remove the scratch pattern. Ideally though I'd like to replace them every other knife for the quickest time sharpening.

@NotMarforius I'm not sure about the wilderness part cuz I live in the city but for EDC yes. Ive found that its very good at whittling wood & batoning so It would do great in the jungle would be my guess. A toothy edge does come in handy, that's why I carry I mirror edge & 1 1000 grit-1500 grit toothy edge

@awesemo40000 The main issue I had doing it this way is uneven wear on all the stones. It seems to wear only a 1-2" portion in the middle. Using an up & down motion I can use about 80% of all stones for even wear. If I only had to sharpen my knives I probably would but I sharpen a few knives a week for friends & YouTubers

@sexyyystalker9 I get sharper edges this way & even stone wear. There is no wrong way, it's the Wicked Edge, not much room for user error, takes no skill to get a hair whittling sharp knife everytime
