I wonder if you could leave an empty hive with some established honeycomb out as a dummy and treat it for the wax moths I wonder if that was save your main hives. You would think that the wax moth would go for the defenceless hive and die because its been treated to kill them.

the summer here in iraq is very hot ,,can i insert more frames to make the hive more larger inspite of hot whether?another question can you tell me is there any difference between plastic frames and wax frame because i saw in youtube some of the beekeeper put a plastic frames instead of the wax made by the bees?

@meowey55 We've only ever had light snow and it wasn't a problem. People keep bees up north also.

I'm the "Dave" from the crew there, yes. The Idaho thing started as a joke and we just kinda ran with it. We explain that in Beekeeping part 3 or 4.
