Great deomonstration of strength and weakness of your ideas. I was looking for some ideas for a dip station and think I found yours to meet my needs! The power wheel got me interested too, another DIY project that is pretty damn cool!

Hey man!
I'm really happy, yesterday I saw your video on youtube.
I showed my boyfriend your video and this morning in 2 hours, has bought the PVC and has ready my Dip Station ready for use. I love my new toy!.
I'm waiting for my sand bag ... ; P
I hope you keep making these videos.
Thank you very much for sharing your tips and energy.

PVC is a material weakness for this type of construction. may break under the weight of the person, it would be better to build with steel material.

Hey man, great stuff. Do you have any drawings?

what is your weight?

How did you make the dipstation I was about to make one of my own and u like your design and I wanted to know the lengths that you used

I was about to ask 'do you use the dip station to do supine rows' and then you surprised me by showing them, I did not predict tipping it on its side though, that makes sense I guess and you could vary the height 2 ways for resistance change.
I didn't quite understand the leaping you did at the end though, what home equip was that?

@emetshamash Hi. The 4 x 150mm are for joining the T's and Elbows of the base of the stand. I made mine with 4 x 60mm as also made the braced uprights 2 x 60mm. Hope it helps! You can check it at vashacks blogspot.

@mwich40 Thank you very much for the Idea
@pmassie01 Thanks a lot for the dimensions
Just made mine yesterday...
Made two small changes to make the holders 1-1/2 inch tube using reductions, but everything turned out ok. No problems at all.
Really worth the cost and effort :D... + It supports me real nicely.

Great man! Glad you are living your dream.
Clearly you made some stuff and saved yourself some money, but obviously there is a lot of (seemingly) expensive equipment in your gym, i.e. squat racks, bumper weights, dumbbells, rowing machines, kettlebells, prowler, sled(s), etc. If you dont mind me asking about how much did all that cost you? Did you take a loan out or save up the money? Do you (or did you) have a job outside of running the Strength Shop? Thanks.

I have acquired my equipment over the years.I have made a few things, but much of it i got from craigslist. I purchased a few things new like the bumpers, rack, some kettlebells and 1 good barbell. The rest is used. I saved and slowly bought things as I could afford them, or bought on credit cards, which i do not recommend. Ive worked part time jobs on weekends to help pay the bills while things are growing. Hopefully I won't have to much longer, but you do what you gotta do...

@dunne00 - It works pretty well...it gets kind of shakey for me...but it's most likely because it's been a while since I did any dips. I also think 24 inches is big of a piece for me in between the bars. I only weigh 175 so I'm not worried about it breaking.

you want the bars to be as far apart as the distance from your elbow to fingers, 24 inches is most likely too far
