  • Great stuff, but this is not an Aretha Franklin cover. It's an Otis Redding cover. He wrote the song and did the original. Aretha Franklin's version came out after this one.

  • @727JeffN either my brain must have been on a holiday or i was drunk when i wrote that, because i know very well that this is an otis redding cover. thank you for reminding me anyway.

  • Another "Swingin' Time" classic. I still have my "Think Rational" button.

  • I love the Rationals, I played all their records out. I haven't researched this, but would love to buy a compilation or whatever is available. Yes I still buy CDs and vinyl. Thx for posting all these great Rational songs!

  • The Rationals are from Ann Arbor, MI. Their first label was A2 records, pronounce A squared and I bought it when it first came out. A2 is just a cute way to say Ann Arbor. To see more great bands from Ann Arbor and Michigan. just click on my name, promoguy59

  • Scott Morgan is the lead singer and the Rationals were a great group who also played at the Grande Ballroom in Detroit. Detroit was a great place for rock in the 60's and as they say, you had to be there. I still think that this is the best version of a classic song.

  • I feel it's fresh everytime i hear it! what a great recording !! one of my all time favorite bands.

  • With out question the is the BEST version :)

  • Who the HECK is the lip-licker at 1:50-57???!!! hahahaha

  • Dear Ms. Aretha Franklin- I am so sorry, sweetheart, THIS is the best version EVER!

  • saw the rationals live several times in my youth. our band covered this song in the late 60s. I lived just outside pontiac, and went to concerts every weekend. back then all the great bands came to the detroit area.My brother still has a 45 of this song .
