  • Amalia Baka was a Greek singer of Jewish origin from Ioannina, Greece. She is singing this epic song with so touching spirit. As it is well known this song come from Kastamone, Pontus (Karadeniz). It is also known that many Greeks of Anatolia were killed in Gallipoli, as they served in the Ottoman Army in this imperialistic war, that German and Entante (British-French) forced to our territory.

  • aaaah Canakkale

  • @kamilierikos Okay no problem thank you again :)

  • @kamilierikos Ok thank you :)

  • When they sing in greek is it for the Gallipoli war or the lyrics are different from the turkish one ?

  • lol .. the first version (in Turkish) is sung and played by Armenians. It's about the canakkale/gallipoli war. Weird that an Armenian would sing a song about Turkish war heroes and the struggles of war.
