Clay Aiken - Gus Sings His Rendition of The Way

This is a video clip taken at Clay's concert stop in Des Moines, Iowa during his Solo/NAT Tour on August 15th, 2004.

During each concert, an audience member was chosen by Clay's bodyguard, Jerome to come up on stage and sing a duet with Clay.

The young man chosen, "Gus" had hoped to sing "Proud Of Your Boy" with Clay but the band didn't know the song so the young man decided to sing a song he had written about Clay that he felt was representative of how Clay inspires his fans. The lyrics were the young man's sung to the tune of Clay's hit single: "The Way."

Fans in the audience went crazy when they heard the words and Clay was obviously touched by the young man's rendition.
