The Story

Misao Harada just wants to be an ordinary high school girl and get a boyfriend, but her ability to see spirits and demons is making that very difficult. She is a rare type of human valuable to demons and the scent of her blood is so desirable to them. Now she's turning 16, the practical jokes are becoming deadly serious...


The Characters

Misao Harada - The spirits seem to love teasing her and making her look like a huge goof in public.

Kyo - He is Misao's new neighbor in the mansion next door. The mansion has been empty since Misao was a child, but she has vague memories of playing there with a good friend...

Isayama - The senior at Misao's high school is one of the "Top Five Handsomest Guys." Could he be boyfriend material?


Black Bird is a Japanese supernatural manga by Kanoko Sakurakoji. It received the 2009 Shogakukan Manga Award for shōjo manga.

My friend showed my this book and I'm officially in love with it, but the kids In my class are soooo immature whenever the horny parts come their like ewww! I can see the voice actor for Kyo doing the voice for Shou, Sagami or Buzen...not for Kyo though. Way too freakishly low, and it makes him sounds sooooo much older -_-;
