Here I again discuss my ups and downs including depression, weight gain, stomach cramping & numbness, my upcoming trip to Hawaii, baby movements, shorter working hours, etc. I would love some advice or to hear if you've dealt with the same thing. Thanks for all the advice, feedback, subscriptions and video ratings!

  • Hi, yes I did ask and she tells me I'm just going to be 'uncomfortable' for the rest of my pregnancy and all of this is normal and can't be helped. Bummer! I can now feel his little feet pushed up into my ribs and know that this is the reason for the cramping. She also told me it's because everything is being compressed into such small spaces now that the baby takes up almost all the room in my abdomen.

  • You're welcome! I just told my friend here in Hawaii that I need to get to the store and stock up on some sparkling water. She's pregnant too and wants to try it & she first told me about the papaya seed extract and then when my midwife mentioned it I finally broke down and tried it. Love it!

That's a good tip with the cramping while walking, I'm usually so intent on getting some exercise that I don't let myself stop and breathe. Lol...I'm glad someone else is feeling where I'm at! :)

  • I've been getting a lot of cramping really low underneath my belly. My doctor said it was more ligament stretching. There is nothing wrong with you, gaining weight is great, but I can understand those days when you just feel so "blah". As for feeling down, I find the best thing is to just put yourself out there and come into contact with family and friends. I'm glad you're going to Hawaii to see your friend, I'm sure you'll feel better once you see her! Don't forget to buy travel insurance!

  • Thanks! I'm in Kona now with my friend and we're going down to the beach soon. It's so wonderful being here, even the air is comforting and relaxing. This is just what I needed, even though I can't help but wish my hubby could've come with me. He's back at home taking care of the pets, kids and working. It's so fun to have lots of girl time though! Thanks for your feedback and support, it means so much!

  • Great video. Good to see things are going well.

That numb spot is perfectly normal. It's just some nerves that are getting stretched out. Lots of women experience that during pregnancy.

  • Thank you, that's a relief. It was definitely not something I'd read about or ever heard of and it's great to hear that other women experience it too. My midwife confirmed that it's just a nerve issue too. Pregnancy is weird! :)

  • Strange coincidence - today I noticed a pain in the SAME exact place... on my right side, under my ribs... I think it's his butt pushing on me!

  • You are very sweet. And beautiful too. I could relate to so much of what you were describing and I appreciate knowing I'm not the only one who's going through it.

BTW I have heard of stories where the baby's foot or arm is in the rib cage which may be why you are experiencing discomfort. Did you ask your doctor about this?

  • Thanks for the video. It's really interesting seeing your progress. Enjoy Hawaii!!! :)

  • Thank you, that gives me hope that it might get better eventually. I know my ribs have opened up a lot and I can really see it in how much bigger my bras have gotten! :) I went from a 32 to a 38 so far and that's just around the ribs, I haven't gained any fat in the torso so it's all rib expansion. Should make sense that this would hurt and cause cramping. Thanks!

  • Yes it is interesting to see the differences between all us pregnant ladies and what our docs tell us. I think they're making that specific recommendation for me because of my emotional fluctuations and hormonal issues. I notice a huge difference in my mood and outlook when I stop working 10 hour days and take more time for myself. Thanks for the comment and feedback!

  • Hi Again! Thanks for the sparkling water tip and I'm glad to hear you're taking the papaya (I always have my bottle on hand now).

Belly Pain: I get LOTS of them (I'm at 29 weeks) and get most of them walking my dog too. I usually try to stop what I'm doing and relax with deep breaths. Call it practice for the big day - physically and mentally.

    good luck!

ps: This post could have been from me down to every last detail (minus the Hawaii). Seems we're normal after all!
