  • Am I mistaken or is she painted in French colours? Was she Free French originally just been restored in those colours?

  • She was painted in French colours but is now wearing the scheme of 'Jack' Charles' MKIX when he was part of the fledgling CFE at Tangmere. TE184 didn't see any wartime service as she was built too late but did see some post-war flying at various training units.

  • @wmralder The plane use to have a bubble canopy and clipped wings for low altitude operations.

  • The Mk XVI is really a Mk IX powered by a Packard built Merlin 266.

  • Excellent work! Looking forward to seeing her finished off.

  • Superb, congratulations on getting another one back in the air!
