@MrRainbowquest00 No, not even the least bit. Vanilla Ice was neither influential, nor the first, and has absolutely nothing to do with Eminem's success. A song like this, which is basically LL Cool J's "I Need Love" with terrible lyrics, has very little to none artistic merit, where Eminem actually has skills as a rapper. Saying Vanilla Ice paved the way for Eminem, just because both happen to be white, is also pretty racist. Besides, the Beastie Boys started the whole 'white rapper' thing.
