I've got a HP G60-531CA, 4GB RAM, 2.1 GHz, 64-Bit Win7. Looking at going up to 8GB, the laptop in this is older obviously (Video was released in 2008) And I'm somewhat new to HPs, Any major differences in upgrading RAM since then? PM me or something. Please.

I have a lenovo t61p and the same thing here. It is because the computer is able to hold* 4gb of ram, but can only use 3gb of ram. I don't fully understand this but its not my field haha

kick ass my Compaq f700 broke and it had 2 gig ram and 175 harddrive and 32 bit for 600 i got ripped!

just now i upgraded from 1gb (512mb x 2) to 2gb x 2 ,brand is toshiba but in properties it is showing me 3gb of memory instead of showing 4gb
