@oilersman75. Try putting a little more pressure on ur index finger, it worked for me and it also puts more spin on the ball

@klingfreek13 you're 13, you're not a star, you probably can't throw half of the pitches you named, and you can maybe hit 40 mph. Go drop your balls, don't act so cool on the internet.

oh yeah 97Rockerdude i know a kid who just turned 12 and he throws... 72 miles an hour he has struck me out and i dont strike out

Ed Goodson (former ML Giants player) told me that you should be concerned at the 12-14 year old range with accuracy and only accuracy. I see alot of HS players later on who can throw 80 mph - who couldn't hit a strike zone to save their mother. Pound the mitt - throws strikes and make your defense make plays. Thats the Greg Maddux method.
My kid CAN throw breaking pitches - I just don't let him unless strategically it makes sense. I much rather him throw strikes and learn control.

I love how some of these kids are telling lies about how good they are

I am 12 years old and i can throw a fastball in the high 60's.I also can throw a nasty slurve and am getting good at my 12-6. I've learned that when the 12-6 is thrown right the ball drops and the batter swings over the top of the ball which is effective on a 0-2 count
