@Alaskaslim There is billions in opium and lithium on top of the pipeline you mention. Plus the military industrial complex and defense contractors make tons everyday the war continues. There is a small group of people making hughe profits... it's just not the American people.

Wrong, Afghanistan's worth wasn't oil, it was for a pipeline to CARRY the oil from somewhere else.

Second, that pipeline was minuscule next to TAPS, the Trans-Alaskan-Pipeline System, and even TAPS is a drop in the bucket compared to the amount of assets we lost on 9/11.

Trillions lost, stock market crashed. We already had plans for Afghanistan, we didn't need 9/11 to justify a damn thing, we ALREADY hit them with cruise missiles in 1998, we were ALREADY chasing Bin Laden.
