Saafir is a vastly underrated emcee. I remember first learning about him through his features on "Come Widdit" with Ahmad & Ras Kass and Sway & King Tech's "Wakeup Show Anthem '94", although I didn't get put onto either until some years after they dropped. I still bump "Can-U-Feel-Me" hard from his first album. The multisyllabic rhyming styles of cats like Eminem & Jay-Z were heavily influenced by Pharoahe Monch (Organized Konfusion) & Saafir who pioneered the technique.

when i heard box car sessions i would never had imagined that people was giving him a hard time about being off beat.. that was a good album when it first dropped

I think you're confusing looking like an idiot with simply being distracted. They were on a busy street with and his attention did seem to jump around a bit.

@infinitycrops 5:15-6:00 doesnt sound too much like a idiot there

Lyrics sound interesting and somewhat intellectual on the album (Boxcar Sessions)........ but he sounds like a complete idiot during these interviews LOL. I think I like his studio-persona better than this one

@farisz90 Saafir said something in that battle about Snupe (from Extra Prolific/Hieroglyphics) getting whooped by Keith Murray and his crew at the Jive records showcase. I don't know if y'all thought he was talking about Snoop (Dogg) or not but it would make sense that Saafir would diss Snupe since he was Hiero. He was probably there at the battle so that's why he took a shot at him just like he did Tajai.
Boxcar Sessions. Underrated shit!
