Just a quick video of me making throwing a clay pottery Utensil Jar.
We make these to keep your wooden spoons, spatulas in etc. Ingleton Pottery
I add a couple of handles usually to the outside for a bit of design but I really only made this to use to show my trimming tools in action due to it's different curves etc.
Anyway I'll be making some more clay pots and vases soon so please keep checking back.

  • I like this angle. Since you say you've run out of things to show us, may I suggest that you redo all the old vids from this angle. I like your commentary as well. You're one of the best teachers on YouTube.

  • I love to watch you effortlessly throw! That two finger cone up has always amazed me. It cones in while pulling up like magic. I'd love to see that in slow motion. :o)

  • Thanks, Dan. Great throwing sills.

  • Do you use your knuckle for raising bigger pieces? i noticed you stabilize your arm on your splash pan when using your 2 fingers. I just started this year getting used to knuckle raising on my Coleman porcelain and i love the technique. If you could do a tutorial on knuckle raising id be very happy !!!

  • well done..
