A video-letter created by the OneEarth club of KCI and starring the students of KCI. It's a letter to Stephen Harper to convince him to act at the Copenhagen Conference.

  • On Kyoto: We can't wait for everyone to get involved before we do. One by one countries will see the benefits and get on board. Many already have like Denmark. But Canada should be a leader on this instead of waiting to see who else is going before committing. Refusing to change because China won't is like refusing to stop littering until everyone else does - it just makes it all so much worse. I want to be part of a country that does the right thing even if others won't - yet.

  • On Climategate: Researchers at NASA and the Hadley Center debated the exact temperature of the planet over the last ten years. Basically, the Hadley Center didn't have data from the Arctic that NASA was including. The e-mails were taken out of context to try to show that the researchers are not certain about climate change. That certainty hasn't altered. My question is, who illegally hacked the e-mails??

  • Stopping to litter is one simple act that will effect my immediate surroundings. Signing onto a multi-billion dollar plan that will do little unless everyone is involved and will force our country to lose its competitive advantage is just a bad idea. We do need something now because U.S and China have shown interest and we would be in trouble if we didn't. Now the competitive advantage will move towards countries are green. So I'm glad we are being wise with when we act and how we act.

  • The hacking is something that should be looked at, but it does raise questions. "Hide the decline" is not exactly scientific integrity. These emails are a thread over the past ten years and its clear that these scientist have been asking questions for 10 years. I don't think if it was something taken out of context there would have been a resignation. People may not know this, but when Al Gore won his Nobel, there were a group of scientist who question global warming that won as well.

  • Really terrrific, you guys! THANKS for standing up for the environment! Let's keep the pressure on all this week of Copenhagen!

  • This is terrific! Your video says the same as this UW prof. who sent his own letter to our Prime Minister saying in part..."Let us show that Canadians are worthy of being called a developed country, one that is developed not only economically, but also socially/morally, and environmentally." Way to go KCI! Cathy MacLellan, Green Party of Canada Candidate,KW

  • Nice work!

  • but as a former KCI student, great job guys and it is important that the youth be active on the personal convictions

  • How about Climategate? What could Kyoto have done if India, China and U.S. will not join? if we are to control C02 emissions, how can it be done without the largest polluters.

  • This is such a great video! :)
