A video of one of the two chalets we have for let at Camber sands on the Park resort. It is five minutes walk from the fantastic two and a half mile sandy beach with shops and restaurants nearby. It is ten minutes drive to Rye which is a quaint village full of artists studios and antique shops and is wonderfully picturesque and makes for a great afternoon out. Camber sands is a twenty minute drive from Hastings, home of the famous battle of Hastings of 1066 which boasts (among other things) a Sea life centre, beach side fun fare, go kart tracks, a great amusement arcade, fishing village which sells fresh sea food caught that day, a historic cable lift up to the cliff top where you can see for miles and the modern town where you can do all your regular shopping. It also has a main line station to London.

Camber sands is a blue flag award winning beach

In Camber Village there are 5 or 6 cafes, a couple of chip shops, a couple of general stores, a post office, several shops selling beach goods etc, some amusements and a couple of pubs. There is food out there as long as you are prepared to pay for it. It is a tourist resort and as such you are well advised to shop at supermarkets or it is going to cost you. Nearest big Tesco is Hastings or Ashford ( up to about 20 miles away), medium size Sainsbury's in New Romney ( 7 miles or so ) and Morrisons in Hastings about 15 miles away

The beach has become a popular location for kitesurfing, kiteboarding and kite buggying due to its large size, compact sand and favourable wind conditions.

The beach was used in the 1958 film Dunkirk starring John Mills to recreate Operation Dynamo. They were used again as Normandy beaches during D-Day in the 1962 epic The Longest Day.

Carry On Follow That Camel was shot on location here during the early months of 1967 when Camber Sands doubled for the Sahara Desert although filming had to be stopped several times because the dunes were covered in snow!

For enquiries for either of our chalets please call 07540 805 085 or email us at camberchaletowner@hotmail.co.uk.

Many thanks
