  • What a sense of making videos against sports, "steroid users" All olympic wins have been prepared with steroids. Made videos about nicotine or alcohol users.

  • @mario0oiram Thank you for your comment. You’ll be glad to know that NIDA has made several videos, including one about nicotine. Check them out on NIDA’s website! While some athletes may take steroids, it’s certainly not all – and the Olympics and almost all other professional sports strongly discourage their use – so much so, that you will be disqualified if you test positive for using steroids. Good luck to you.

  • Why not start with so called anti-psychotic drugs prescribed to 40 million people in the U.S. like zyprexa? Diabetes, rapid weight gain, irreversible movement disorders and read Robert Whitakers anatomy of an epidemic to discover that they don't even treat the disorders they are marketed for. Then there's alcohol and tobacco. My health is nobody elses business, but if it were I would expect them to at least not be hypocritical about it. "You cant take steroids, but here's some abilify & adderal"

  • @M1thotyn- The issues you raise about other drugs of abuse are very real, which is why they are also subjects for study at NIDA. Information on tobacco, alcohol, prescription drug and other substances of abuse can be found on NIDA’s website and the NIDA for Teens website. While there, you may want to check out our other videos-they include ones on tobacco and prescription drug abuse. You may also want to visit NIDA’s PEERx website for an interactive look at prescription drug abuse in teens.

  • also if people are able to smoke tobacco, drink alcohol, drive a motorcycle, skateboarding while doing dangerous stunts, sky dive and be able to black diamond ski, then they should be able to take steroids on their own risk too. making it illegal shows that people are restricted in their freedom for personal choices.

  • The documentary also quotes national stats, citing that hundreds of thousands of people die from alcohol and tobacco per year, while in 2008, national stats only list 3 confirmed deaths from steroids. More people die from overdosing on vitamins. They also interview media used doctors who've claimed that steroids are dangerous, and the ones they interview admit to having only anecdotal evidence, and no legitimate studies to back their claims. There are sides to steroid use, but few are dangerous.

  • The government bans steroids because if they're afraid we'll become too strong and then they can't control us anymore.

  • am i the only one that thinks this is stupid and thus, really funny? hahahah. no i dont take steroids either.

  • @Judgingis4losers they should be able to take steroids. the video only inform about what are conseguences

  • WOW HE"S BENCHING THE BAR. thank god he doesnt use steroids

  • @YyJoBb - (continued) This product’s website says: “Our formula is based on extensive herbal research and has been proven to be effective.” And yet there are no studies provided. That combination should always be a “red flag” for you—that an important part of the story is missing. Best to steer clear of these kinds of things.

  • @YyJoBb - Sometimes people are legally prescribed certain kinds of steroids to treat conditions where there is an insufficient amount of steroid hormone, as in the case of delayed puberty or with diseases that deplete lean muscle mass (like cancer and AIDS). However, what you’re talking about is a do-it-yourself approach that is not backed by science and which could be dangerous for you.
