  • Miss the old Hampden. Miss the old goal posts. Miss the football that money killed.

  • @innit27 And we get to play them again soon.Lets hope its a good omen. And we can make the next world cup.I will not hold my breath just yet though.I think our group will be tight. All the teams can beat each other in it.Even Macadonia might prove to be dark horces. They managed to beat us away from home.Serbia had Vidic retiring,so that is good news for us.Croatia have never beaten us before. So lets try and keep that up.Belguim have good players to.And will be a challenge.Taffs are improving now 2

  • Was on the terrace behind the goals where Kenny scored that fantastic goal, when you used to get over 100,000 at the games. The following year was the saddest time after a vctory when Big Jock died in Cardiff.

  • I was at that game !!

Best international I have ever been to and the finest Scotland performance I have ever seen.

  • innit27, I couldnt remember the specifics of the entire campaign. I do remember that we did not play as well as this again. It was downhill from this Spain game. A few great results followed by us struggling badly.

  • @TheJazzper1970 wales beat spain 3-0. scotland lost to wales at hampden, scraped an away win over iceland and got a draw in wales with cooper penalty to finish 2nd in the group on goal difference. jock stein died. they had to beat the aussies in a play off to get to world cup. dalglish injured in fa cup final and couldnt go. good team but maybe rememered as better than at the time where underperformed.. wales had likes of rush, hughes, southall, ratcliffe, strong side too

  • The game before this we beat Yugoslavia something like 5-1 at Hampden. Its the best Scottish team i remember.

  • I was only 16 when I went to that game on a cold november night...what memories

  • 0:10 El paradón de Arconada es impresionante. No es fácil despejar esa volea, aunque el rechace acabó en gol. 3:05 Golazo de Kenny Dalglish por la escuadra derecha haciendo inútil el espectacular vuelo de Arconada.

  • @morza05 Be great if that was the score in Spain. It might be but it will be to them.We played great at home though. And were un lucky on the night.Losing to a dodge pot penalty, and a mistake bye McManus.Losing the ball in the flood lights. The heat out there should zap us.I hope that I am wrong, and we do it.But I cant see it happening for us.If we win the other 3 games. It should be enough for a play off place. And then it is a lottery to see who we face.Come on the Scotland its been to long.
