Board for The Lord meet Highway Patrol's finest

A group of longboarders were pulled over during a 207 mile journey from Greensboro to Carolina Beach, NC. We were pulled over for trying to skate on the only rode that goes to the beach. For the record, a friend that is a lawyer researched this and determined that there is no such law that says you can not skateboard or longboard on the highway.This guy was making stuff up "left and right."

how was the trooper making stuff up? impeding traffic is an actual law. what you were doing was impeding traffic by going 60mph less than traffic around you. so what was he making up?

@viddude and Afro N.C.G.S. § 20‑114.1. The young men were warned so that is enough. If you would like to see more legislation then feel free to look up motor vehicle law in your spare time. MV law covers everything on wheels motorized or not. As for these young men. "Obey the laws of the land" include the authorities enforcing it. You guys should know better. That trooper was looking out for YOUR safety and you make a mockery of him....sound familiar?? Look at the symbolism.

Why would you want to skateboard on the highway? Perhaps there is no law against it, but a little common sense should prevail here....perhaps I am wrong though...

i agree with the patrol man and id sugest u talk to a new lawyer because u can be charged with empeding the flow of trafick and with the bike u can ride beside the highway
