  • Oh I really wish this was longer. This was so great! Thank you so much for making this documentary!

  • I went to NU and did not rush. Northwestern is a wonderful place. Yes, there are superficial people there, but they are the minority. Don't let this video affect your decision to apply.

  • what i like about the girl in the brown she was kinda shallow, but she honestly spoke the truth and didnt sugar coat anything.

  • I just got into NU and I'm really hoping this vid is being super overdramatic... i feel that from all i know about NU, their greek system isn't like this, but hey, I haven't rushed... nor do I plan to. Not because of what I've heard or haven't heard, it's just not my thing.

  • oh yeah OH YEAH oh yeah..sure

  • this was actually pretty cool, I'm in a sorority and yeah it's not always like this but since no one talks about it except quietly with their close friends...yeah, it was nice to see and I'd love to watch a longer one (:

refferring to "They don't sound super intelligent."

Most houses you have to keep a minimum GPA to partake in social activities.

Our house had minimum study hour requirements along with a study proctor to ensure you were actually studying. This documentary doesn't depict a great picture. When I look at these girls, I can't picture them in any of the houses on my campus. (except one, but it was known as the redheaded stepchild of hosues.)

  • @VarsityCheerStarLDS I'm not even from a Southern house and I tottally agree...I doubt any of these girls would get a bid (from a decent house.)

  • As a membership director to a top tier in the South, I am kind of shocked by the way Greek life seems to be at NU...I think Greek life just isn't as competitive in the North, because I know that at the schools in my state, these girls would not have gotten bids for sororities...Even the girls that are/were Greek don't look the part...funny how you call this Greek life superficial and elitist or whatever...you should see Southern Greek life...it makes this look like so much more of a joke!

  • Not all sororities eliminate people during rounds of rush; it all depends on which sorority it is and what campus it's on.

And many sororities don't focus on having hot pledges, either, and prefer to focus on finding girls they're comfortable with and who can be their true friends.

It's bad enough that people believe in so many negative stereotypes about sororities, and girls like some of these only make it worse =S

  • really interesting documentary about the negative aspects of rush. I wish it was longer. I also wish that some of the positive aspects of rush and greek life were highlighted. with that being said, I am a depledge of a fraternity, & I can say that a lot of this depends on the individual organizations. I was a pledge for over a year before I dropped, I was a married pledge & they were in no rush to make me active, but I wish that there was a better greek org for me to join on my campus
