This Autumn view of corn shocks in the field is between Paoli & Orleans, Indiana where a settlement of Amish has sprouted In the last 15 years. It's like stepping back in time when you stop by this community of hard working families living in homes with no electricity and using only horses for transportation and farming.
The music comes from Aaron Copland's ballet score "Appalachian Spring". The religious dance song "Simple Gifts" was written in 1848 at the Shaker community, Alfred, Maine, by Elder Joseph Brackett Jr.

Simple Gifts

'Tis the gift to be simple, 'tis the gift to be free,

'Tis the gift to come down where we ought to be,

And when we find ourselves in the place just right,

'Twill be in the valley of love and delight.

When true simplicity is gain'd,

To bow and to bend we shan't be asham'd,

To turn, turn will be our delight

'Till by turning, turning we come round right.

  • I thought it was a painting till I saw the cow moving !

  • Irresistible to those with a good soul. One feels magically a part of the spiritual Universe instead of fighting a going nowhere artificial moment. Perfect! God bless!

  • The best ever but not clear or long enough
