  • Totally great!!! I wish I could play guitar like that!

  • Pat Kirtley teaches this exact version in one of his wonderful youTube vids. He also talks about the history of the tune; how Scotty Moore took this approach from Chet Atkins, and Atkins didn't record the song until years later.

  • Well, he uses delay/reverb here. if you strum bass notes and mute them with those effects - like he does - rhythm effect is very strong - just like in rockabilly guitar picking. his thumb (with this claw pick on, which is very important) is the only source of rhythm here, trust me.

    Fantastic performance.

  • Now slap some steel strings on that baby and do it right.

    Just kidding. Good job, man.

  • Grandioso!!!

  • Wow, awesome... I for one LOVE the Sand nylon-electric sound. Adds a whole new dimension for me. Now I want one, lol.

  • Thats Great!!! I first heard this tune on Chet Atkins "solo sessions" Album played in this fingerpicking style. I often tried to copy it but always failed. I wonder if there are tabs out somewhere? I try to get some ideas from this vid. Thanx for sharing.
