  • The design for the Forming Manaia, did you create the design yourself? I m learning to carve bone and I wanted to give that design a shot. But I don't want to take your design, if it's a traditional Maori design then I won't feel bad carving it :)

  • @whiterabbitdoll

Kia ora,Yse it is my own design. But you are welcome to have a go as long as when anyone asks you tell them where the design came from (Good Karma)

  • Greetings from Austin, Texas, USA! I recently purchased your forming manaia from actonpark, and I absolutely adore it! From watching your videos and visiting your website, I get the impression that is was carved from beef bone- but I'd like to know for sure. Thanks so much!!!

  • Kia ora, thanks.Yes it is beef bone,I am happy that you like your carving.

  • @surfingcarver Of course! The original artist should always be represented. Thanks so much :D

  • i am also wondering what types of tools you are using because i am looking into carving as well

  • Hi, i am new to carving, and i was wondering if you would tell me what kind of tools you use for bone carving. I have been wood carving small things with exacto knives and the like, and i found out pretty fast that they are not so good at carving bone.

  • Kia ora Guy, I have one of your beautiful whalebone carvings I ordered from you through email about 3 years ago. I wear it every day and consider my self lucky to have one of your works here in the states. Thank your for sharing your talent with all of us. Good to see you getting a website up. Best Wishes

    Seth
