dude that hole in the back of the trigger guard is for a screwdriver to pry open the trigger assembly. its easy

Use a screwdriver on the trigger assembly removal. Damn!!

It is much to lift the trigger guard if you put a metal rod (like a screwdriver) in the hole of the trigger guard and simply lift. Much easier.
I think the rifle is very simple to disassemble. The same as the Garand and Mini-14/Mini-30.
But it is a useful video.

@unclesamshat by tools do you mean your fingers? I can break down my AR in under a min including the entire bolt......no tools

I have started looking into rifles, What do you think about the M1A for a first time rifle buy?

@TheHobbyistChannel it would be a great first rifle but it is expensive. If i were you I would go with something like a mini14 or AK. You can beat them up and they are great at the range.
