Kristin Vanderwell

Kristin Vanderwell, 20, lives in Jenison, Mich., and attends Hillcrest Christian Reformed Church. She spent six weeks in Haiti working with orphans and HIV/AIDS patients in two different ministries.

Her first two weeks were in Port-au-Prince, serving with Sous Eswpa (Source of Hope), an organization ministering to orphans and other vulnerable children. After that, Kristin helped at God's Littlest Angels orphanage (www.glahaiti.org). She has a personal interest in this ministry as two of her four siblings, Isaac and Abby, were adopted from there.
