I'm not surprised Bruford and Holdsworth were asked to leave. Those aren't two guys you can tie down to a rigidly commercial format.

UK was something I have not experienced before or after.
later, Bill B played with Jeff Berlin, who was a fantastic bassplayer, but the music was so so.
I would maintain that UK (the original) is the best mocern music ever!!

Why is that hard to believe? There were fundamental and irreconcileable differences of musical opinion and leaving left them free to do what they really wanted with Bruford.
