Our final story features John Luther Jones, a.k.a. Casey Jones, The Brave Engineer (1950, directed by Jack Kinney). (Casey) Jones was "a master at the throttle" and had "an unflinching devotion to duty", according to (James Earl) Jones.

  • @SicardStudios Yes and Jerry Colonna (the voice of the March Hare) narrates the WHOLE story. I hope that answers your question. ;-)

  • RIP John "Casey" Luther Jones (1863-1900)

  • Casey Jones was a one of a kind.

  • one of the LAST Cartoons that until now i hadn't seen since i was 5 yrs old. THE 90's ROCKED!!!!! Thumbs up if you were a 90's KID!!!

  • 3:59 "She mail!"

  • When he saved that chick, did he call himself his own hero? "My hero!" But it was in Casey's voice....

  • Egad! ... EGAD!

  • @snakes3425 Never mind. Just saw your previous post.

  • @snakes3425 You also missed the most glaring inaccuracy. He should be DEAD.

  • @Ginteru

    Cont.

A big historic inaccuracy is that Casey was in charge of a passenger train in Mississippi the night of the accident, and the accident itself occured in Mississippi not out west as in the cartoon with Engine 382. Despite his heroism by remaining at his post to try and stop the train, Casey was still found at fault for the accident because apparently he was traveling so fast he failed to see a Flagman and hear the warning torpedoes detonate, which were the signal to slow down
