I like how you fail to refute the (simplistic but direct) arguments

Yes, lets (scots) all base our future on a finite source of money which is widely known to be rapidly running out, in a future world where using fossil fuels is likely to be discouraged through international sanctions and taxes. Genius! If Scots could get over the ENTIRELY fictional sensation of being oppressed by a nation which provides the majority of their income we might be able to move on...

@Tam1297 "To squalor under" I mean to suffer under or to live in squalor because of, are both fine. But yeah you're using it as a verb there.

I love England dearly. The sooner we rid ourselves of the parasites north of the border, the better off we will be, in every sense. Why should we subsidise the Scots? It's an established and widely accepted fact that England is the economic powerhouse of the UK. Scotland cannot survive on it's own, but i do wish they would would go away and try! A whole nation of haggis eating, whisky swilling alcoholics! GO WITH OUR ENGLISH BLESSING. And while you're at it, get your own Queen!

@875309100 after a referendum we will know what is what

The fact is, Scotland doesn't want independence. And if they did, they would wish they hadn't later on if they get their bloody independence.

It's fact..
Scotland will no longer recieve income from the Barnett Formular...And as Scotland has a much lower population than England..Taxes need to be raised to sustain itself..
Surplus? You mean running off UK money? Exactly why Scotland will fail..
Natural resources? You mean the oil that will run out in 40 years? yeah...Good luck with that
Who said they are fighting tooth and nail to keep Scotland? No one did..Scotland can leave when ever they want..And they don't
I also despise Alex Sammonds view on independence. He wishes to keep the Queen has head of state, he wishes to let The Bank of England continue to dictate interest rates-which is okay, until you think that The Bank of England will set their rates to benefit England,Wales. Not scotland, which could financialy cripple Scotland in any peroid of economic progress/downturn. If he wants independence then he should aim to actualy become a seperate country entirely

You're wrong. Alex Salmond probably prefers a republic but he has to deal with the situation as it is. In any case it's a decision for when we are independent, not at the moment. We don't want to be divided 'n' duled we need to unite to make it happen. SNP policy is to join the Euro though we might require an interim position until that happens. Some want to leave the EU altogether but again we can only decide that after we get our independence.
