This week I went to New York to interview Gene Robinson. "I have clergy friends in England who literally studied at Archbishop Williams's feet when he was teaching and who have said to me it is almost as if aliens have come and taken Rowan away from us and they have left something here that looks like him but we don't recognise him any more," Bishop Robinson said. Giving his first interview since announcing that he will retire in two years, Bishop Robinson said that Dr Williams was a wonderful human being and a faithful Christian.
But he added: "I'm not at all sure that his attempts to hold us together as a communion at all costs is the kind of leadership that this time calls for. I pray for him every day. • He single handedly may have ended the Episcopal Church in America. Greed is his to pay pentance for.

  • They should have welcomed Robinson at Lambeth. What a hateful message to send to all those millions of GLBT families in the world. Christ always supported the downcast, downtrodden, and excluded. Horrible to see this happening.

  • robinson is indeed correct when he says the Anglican communion is in trouble, & he's one of the main reasons why.He was a leader in a CHRISTIAN Church, & openly homosexual,& he expectd for there to NOT be trouble? Robinson & co have long since abandoned Biblical teaching to push the ideology of liberal political correctness,& instead of representing God's holiness the Episcopalian church has increasingly been corruptd to justify the selfish hedonism of Man.Judgement begins at the House of God

  • Gene Robinson says that Rowan Williams is a gifted theological writer and teacher, then he says that he thinks that he has been abducted by aliens and is now unrecognisable.

Gene Robinson would have done better to represent gay people by simply getting on with God's work as a bishop, rather than focusing upon being a gay bishop. My own personal feelings about alien abduction is that, sadly, the entire Anglican Church is unrecognisable.
