Quik question,how do you make a profit if your exit price is lower than your entry price?

Going short - sell stock you don't own, then buy it back at a lower price and pocket the difference. Not enough room to explain properly here, but of you want to send me an email I'll explain better.

Also if I may, when you first started day trading, and I mean the very first day, did you run any tests to be sure your trading platform was working properly? I have Quote tracker up and running and connected to my trading account but want to be sure that when I click sell that stock sells.

Yes, you must test everything! Hardware, software, strategy, and backup plans for when something fails.

I am a trader in Australia. Ive been using QuoteTracker now for about 2 years. I link it to an account with ETrade to get the data. data isn't streaming unfortunately, but I get it on about 10 second delay.

QT is extraordinarily flexible in its layout options; the historic and day charting is excellent.

Overall ? To use the Aussie vernacular - it's a bloody ripper! [that's good!] Best free tool available for anyone interested in trading by a country mile.
