In the state of Oregon, the Drug Enforcement Administration is attempting to gain access to millions of private prescription records without a warrant. According to reports, the step is taken to crackdown on the abuse of prescription pills, but the American Civil Liberties Union is saying not so fast. The ACLU claims that the DEA's move is a violation of patient's fourth amendment rights. Mike Riggs, associate editor for Reason Magazine, chimes in on the issue.

    This is all part of Obama's EO garbage. One of them was 'have the DOJ make lists of dangerous people who shouldnt own guns', which can be as broad as they wanna make that mean. So now basically, theyll use any excuse and want the drug records to show you were 'taking oxycodon' 16 years ago, and therefore, you are too dangerous and risky to own a gun, case closed, no 2nd amendment for you, thank you, drive through. Honestly, this country is toast.

    Also, I believe if the DEA has this ability they could pull you over, check the database first and find something on you therefore giving them probable cause to search you.
