The "Arabic" numerals were originally Indian. This can be seen in the written numerals in Sanskrit. The first zero is found written in India. Like many original concepts, the numeral system found its way across the Middle East and into Europe, its source forgotten. The Indian numerals were used in advanced calculations by al-Khawarizmi in quadratic equations and algebra. The Italian Fibinacci brought the concept of Indian numerals to Europe in his Book of Calculations in 1202 AD from Algeria.

Love this man and his thought-provoking comedy routines - but at $200/ticket
to see him, he is not "cheap" to see live at all !! I would rather go out and eat
good Indian buffet and splurge @ 1/10th the cost than blow good money to see
his sorry ass. This is how "cheap" and economical we all must be.
