  • @2010JPW We used to have many Burrowing Owls here in our area of California, but we neglected to save a spot for them during all our developments. Don't let that happen to you! You are very lucky to still have many owls, they are a great species!

  • Right now, our guardian was reporting to me, that a new "tunnel" is being build. That means for us to build a new small protection area to avoid our Ridgebacks "helping" these owls to build their new habitat! :). Interesting is to note that our three ridgebacks, despite chasing other birds (mostly without success, thanks God) do not even try to chase our owls: they were attacked themself by three owls last year which chased my dogs for five long minutes!It was fun to observe them chasing dogs
