Has history been tampered with? Was there really a Dark Age?
It is common knowledge that the Classical Age was followed by many centuries of utter stagnation and decline with virtually nothing happening but wars and famine and the destruction of the priceless ancient monuments.

Then, during the Renaissance, the Classical authors re-appear from oblivion, Latin and Greek become resurrected as the intelligentsia Esperanto of the Middle Ages, numerous manuscripts re-appear from oblivion to be copied, enter wide circulation, and vanish again, never to be found.

How preposterous would it be to suggest that there were no Dark Ages to separate the antiquity from the Renaissance - that the "Re-naissance" was in fact the naissance of the Western European culture as we know it? It does contradict everything that we may ever have learnt about history. However, new methods offered by empirical statistics and developed by Anatoly Fomenko, the Russian mathematician, and his colleagues, provide plenty of evidence to support the theory that the Dark Ages are a phantom.

We find lots of spicy morsels in the cauldron of history, and some of them are impossible to digest without soothing explanations that all the contradictions we encounter are to be blamed on the ignorance of the scribes or some such phenomena inherent in the murky past - fancy the statue of Marcus Aurelius lost for several centuries and then found "by accident" on one of the Roman streets, or Senators congregating amongst the ruins of the Capitol due to their being "nostalgic about the great imperial past of the Empire", or the pagan temples turning Christian at the wink of an eye, with the name of the saint coinciding with the name of the pagan deities that these very temples were consecrated to in the mysterious "days of yore"?

"History: Fiction or Science?" - Challenge to traditional history.

Is it possible that Ancient Rome, Greece and Egypt were invented during Renaissance? Can it be that Jesus Christ was born in 1053 AD and crucified in 1086 AD? Scientific research points to the evidence that many modern beliefs of traditional history are a sham.

"History: Fiction or Science?" by the eminent mathematician Anatoly Fomenko and his colleagues crowns 30 years of meticulous and extensive research. It is the first volume in seven comprising a "Chronology" that exposes numerous questionable notions of traditional history.

"History: Fiction or Science?" describes how the contemporary chronological scale was created and by whom, with the culprits named as the 16th 17th century clergy. The well-known model of history has enjoyed the relentless attention of prominent critics ever since its creation including respected people like Sir Isaac Newton and Jean Hardouin, the court librarian of Louis XIV, the Sun King of France.

Anatoly Fomenko dissects every historical age scrupulously and analyzes the data from every angle imaginable. Roman and Egyptian chronology take a good beating. Poggio Bracciolini and Petrarch take the blame for creating the beautiful legend of a mythical Classical age that never was.

The Biblical events are brought a lot closer to us both historically and geographically. The Biblical Jerusalem is actually the medieval city of Constantinople. The New and the Old Testament swap their positions in chronological order and are shown to refer to medieval events.

Using astronomy and statistics to back his theories, Fomenko delivers an abundant astronomical proof showing that the identified dates of 'ancient' eclipses are blatantly untrue. Fomenko explains the confusion between the Antiquity and the Middle Ages, and how the division between the two is merely imaginary. The book contains in-depth descriptions of the research methods used as well as the most meticulous rendition of the global chronological map with its numerous errors and glitches explained in a very level-headed manner. One doesn't have to be a mathematician to comprehend Fomenko's presentation.

"History: Fiction or Science?" transforms history from fiction into a rocket science. It is a must read for everyone who isn't entirely indifferent to human history and possibly also for those who are.

  • what about all the autors of the past : Herodote, Bède le Vénérable, St Augustin ? Are they liars ? What about archeology ? What about Platon? Your book is bullshit. All of you said is bullshit. Your proofs aren't real. At any time you said something coherent or true...Poor man.

  • Many a scientist has noticed and criticised history manipulation, i.e. Isaac Newton, Jean Hardouin, Edwin Johnson, Morozov. Too much at stake, all criticisms swept under the carpet..

  • google>books>fomenko its 100% free and searchable

  • no, not iars. all fm xv-xvii cy.

.read before label & libel. rgds

  • What about Asia? There has been continuous civilization in china for the past 2000 years, DURING the dark age that you imply did not happen. Also there were the Uighur and Saffarid dynasties that occurred in the middle east during the dark age. Were these civilizations, and all their archaeological evidence, just made up?

  • Great Wall of China as a military defense is non-sensical. It was actually built in mid 17th cy to mark the border between Great Tartary and China. You will not find this wall on earlier maps. `Mongol` nomadic tribes were small, illiterate, and scattered before 19th cy, in fact they even did not even know they were touted as great conquerors.

  • @mithec A mathematician has proof that the dark ages were a phantom? Oh well then it must be true. Now if you'll excuse me, i've had this head ache for a couple of days so i'm going to go see a dentist, before i go get my car washed by a garbage collector & then i'm off to the australian outback to do some shopping.

I'm sorry, but as embarassing as it is to know that Christianity caused 1000 years of stupidity, it happened.

  • @MerlinXIII I don't think the main point of the book is to say that they are liars, the main point is to show using mathematics and astronomy that there were a lot of mistakes, most of which been done unintentionally and some were purpously hidden by the government. He makes a lot more sense to me than the books presented to us by the school.

You should read the book, it is interesting to say the least, or watch the series.

  • Black people ruled Europe during the so called "Dark Ages", & it was during the " Renaissance" when Caucasians began "Iconoclasm" and changed Black faces to White. Prof. is in the religious Icons of Russia that were not destroyed. The Black Moors dominated southwest Europe during the Middle Ages for about 700 years: 711-1492 A.D. Blacks ruled in Europe for over 780 years starting from the Moorish invasion of Spain in 711, till the 1500s , so yes history has been tampered with....

  • @mithec "there is not a single piece of firm written evidence or artifact that could be reliably and independently dated earlier than the XI century."

Yeah. So what about the pyramids, who built them? What about Pompeji, isn't that a pretty solid proof that the roman civilisation did exist? This is a piece of evidence that would pe impossible to fabricate, because you can't plan for a volcanic eruption.

  • @CausalObserver74

No, the carbon dating would still be almost 200 years off. According to wikipedia, the carbon dating placed it between the years 1260 - 1390. Though I agree that this is a pretty appealing story, I don't think it makes sense at all.

  • I hope this is a joke!

  • No. It hasn't. History is perfect, and everything is exactly how it has seemed to be just like everything in the present moment of time is exactly how it seems to be around the Earth.

  • David was not a sculpture of the Classical Age, but of the Renaissance

  • I have got to say, for a conspiracy theory, THIS is pretty original.

  • our Illuminati control school system is teaching our kids that there civilzations before the year 1980 to keep us around from the truth that Chack Norris invanted everything and created every life form that had existed all in the past 20 years. to learn more visted the chuch of Chack Norris's creation museum
