Downloading to Update Ubuntu 10.10 Maverick Meerkat to Natty Narwhal 11.04 SLOW!

Well-- I hope you enjoy staring at your ceiling for most of the day. Downloading and to Update Ubuntu 10.10 Maverick Meerkat to Natty Narwhal 11.04 is a SLOW process, but it might be the mirror I'm using.

Natty has features like the Unity interface, Libre Office and the Ubuntu One cloud file system.

I ended-up saving all of my files, then doing a NSA wipe on the drive, then installing Natty 11.04 fresh from CD. The update was nothing but problems for me, but your experience may differ.

I hope people are hearing us! I login and use "classic" bottom center, but there are things that have disappeared. EG no WiFi signal strength applet, it took me forever to get Skype to show up on the top bar when I closed the window (it was still running but there was nothing to click on to make a call - if you clicked on the Skype Launcher it would return - another instance is running, Ya know, I couldn't even reduce ANY windows - the ^ v were missing! It drove me nuts! But classic works :-(

@kh2hbTV Nope, same here nothing but problems. After upgrading from Maverick 10.10 64-bit to Natty 11.04 64-bit the KDE service was running but wouldn't come out of run level 3 and it couldn't find my /home directory! ... since this was a dual boot I used DiskInternals Linux Reader in Windows to find all my files and copy my /home directory ... have to wipe that partition ... either gonna re-install Maverick and never upgrade or install OpenSUSE. Natty's worse than a virus!

i hate natty narwhal, it lags to much. its laggin as i type this. ima reinstall 10.10...
