Strange sounds over Madrid ( Jan. 2012 )

Madrid, 18.01.2012. Not airplane.They don't allow planes in the city area. The sound ended suddenly, just the way it started. Please use headphones. At the end ( 1:05 ) you can clearly hear how the sound suddenly stops, like "unplugged". I can't tell if the disturbing noise was coming from the sky or the ground but it seem like it was all over. The sound repeated about 5-6 times, during about a minute each time, and then complete silence. Really strange. What do you think ?

I think it's funny how in all these strange sound videos, even though the sound is supposedly so loud - notice no one else is standing on the balcony listening, or sticking their head out the window, or stopping on the street like they can hear it. Basically the person behind the camera is always the only person who can hear this "sound".

@wlkgbrft1 Actually, when I was recording this, I could see 2 woman on the street looking up in to the sky to find the cause of the noise. Peace.

@beatrice040603 Lots of sounds just suddenly stop, like metal rubbing together/bending/grinding.Once that action is stopped, so does the sound.

I heard this same sound last year 3 times. It started Spring and summer of 2011. Finally my boyfriend was with me to hear it the last time so I know I wasn't going nuts.I never heard it again. These sounds were in the early mornings from 2 am to 4 am. But it was so loud and consuming all around us. We couldn't figure out where it was coming from.It sounded like what I would imagine a spacecraft hovering above us.

My family heard this identical sound a few years ago in Western New York. It was a beautiful summer morning at about 8 am. It lasted about 20 minutes and faded away. I forgot about it until a friend at work came in one day told everyone about a sound he heard the day before. If you go to "Unexpained sound in quiet neighborhood" you can hear what is being heard around western new york. It sounds like a jet engine, no horn sounds. I don't know what it is, but it isn't anything I ever heard before.

@VancouverCanucksRock Sounds of planes, trains etc fade away. They don't "suddenly stop". That's the point of that sentence.
