Neil Young - Mellow My Mind, live in Berlin 26.02.2008 during European leg of CDII Continental Tour
This song was on Tonight's The Night 1975 album produced by David Briggs
David Briggs died in 1995 when was 51 years old. Before his death, he was still working with Joel Bernstein on the Neil Young Archives project. This project had been underway for five years before his death and there could be anywhere from three to twenty albums worth of unreleased material.His motto was "Never give up the master tapes."

Neil only spoke once (or twice) during the concert and this what he exactly said before launch into Mellow My Mind:
..when ever I come to Germany I always think about of my old friend David Briggs.. cause he was a german - he was born somewhere in the mid-west of America but he was a german.. he always said he was born on the February 29th.. he'd not accounted for some with behaviours.. since he was only about 8 years old.. but.. he always loved Germany and he always loved this album that I wanna do this next song here.. from..(start playing)

  • Thanks alp1509. Long time since i saw Neil in Sheffield. Saw him many years before that too. He was in England supported by the Eagles in 19 ah! i forget. Was the 'Tonights The Night' tour. Been latched onto the mans work for a lot of years. Nice to he can feel the old 'folky days'.
