1981 Holiday On Ice (Just One Person) Snoopy / Peggy Fleming

This wonderful piece always makes me cry!!!! I include it and dedicate it to all those skaters whose parents didn't want them to skate and never lifted a finger to help or support........to all those girls who could never afford a beautiful skating dress........to all those skaters whose coaches thought you were crap and weren't worthy of their time and effort....even though they eagerly cashed your checks for lesson times each week........to skaters who suffered from nasty, inconsiderate and self righteous judges whose callous remarks ripped your soul........to skaters who suffered from the gossipy tart slings of skating parents whose only concern was for their precious ice princess, who didn't have half your talent and none of your desire........and to all those skaters who weren't accepted by the "in" group, because you weren't thin enough, or smart enough, or pretty enough, or rich enough, or perfect enough to be deemed worthy of their clickish, elitist, moronic culture club. "You", my kindred spirits are still happy and skating everyday.........and where are they?

Perhaps not 'weird'!, but unusual.....unique. It was more commom around 100 years ago, 1880's - 1920. I am sure it is a family name....best wishes

Heck,my own name is an old fuddy duddy name,after my late grandma who died young.Today parents are doing that,naming their kids with old family surnames.

I don't recognize the singers.......I think it was a special version done just for the show. Charles Schultz was very much associated with skating.....maybe someone else can help? best wishes

I worked as a composer for Charles Schulz for years, and he was an incredibly nice man, and yes, he was depressed.
