In the early '80s, MuchMusic was pretty informal and shoddy station, and that was its charm. They had a lot of creative (and crazy) staff members who loved making little vignettes like this: an advertisement for a "school" that teaches you how to be Bruce Springsteen. "The Boss" was all the rage at the time..."Born in the USA" and "Glory Days" were big hits. CityLimits VJ Christopher Ward is the nerdy student, with Allanah Myles!

  • @greenpail Yes he was!

  • I love how they include that little dig at Billy Joel at the end. Mainly because I love them both and seeing Bruce Springsteen and Billy Joel together, even like this, is AWESOME.

  • Was John Martin also the singer for CITY TV's fabulous Booze Mothers?

  • He says that the cars have to be between the years of '57 and '62, but what about a ' 69 Chevy?

  • oh ya and watch for alannah miles (the singer) checking out her headband...her performance debut
