"My One and Only Love" written by Guy Wood and Robert Mellin in 1952 was recorded by Joni James accompanied by an orchestra conducted by David Terry, who also did the arranging for her 1955 MGM LP, When I Fall in Love. The album was reissued on CD in 1995 on the Taragon label. I think that this compares favorably with the wonderful version by Frank Sinatra.
During my high school days, a dance party wont be complete without Joni James songs. Great years!

Joni gives her unique spin on this recording. The composer of the song
gave Joni a song he had written called "The Moment I Saw You" which she
ended up recording and which became a hit single for her. It is posted on
youtube.
