  • Thanks for posting this ultra-rarity. The original Laura Nyro version first appeared on SoCal Top-40 radio in Dec '66. I'm so tired of the 5th Dimensions' far more popular '71 remake.

  • I know I've heard somewhere a recording of this song solo - just Laura and her piano. Has anyone else heard that?

  • since gilmore girls everytime i hear this song i think "for tonight and tonight only my name is Bill and this is our song"

  • @TheDiggum She will be this year (2012) finally.

  • I saw this on Glee, but it didn't bring me here. Gilmore Girls did!

  • Glee brought me here.

  • When she opens so beautifully on that C5, I can't help but imagine her singing Dido's Lament. My mother is a huge Nyro fan, and I am very grateful to have grown up listening to her music.

  • @raelraven2 to tell you the truth, I don't really care anymore

  • @Yaoi47Queen With all due respect, if you check the chronology of releases by clicking on Laura Nyro's name above the video, you will see that this was released in 1967.
