great post! Thanks... Beware that we'll call it "nationalization" when the govt takes over the means of production -- only it won't be a representative that takes the reigns, and the people will be screwed! that is my fear with nationalization of production

You're welcome.
The most ideal solution is for government to issue long-term federal credit (not spending) for productive means. To do this, you'd need to adsorb the federal and state chartered banks, kick out the Wall Street derivative merchants, and put the nation under a state of bankruptcy protection.
Unfortunately, you're never going to climb out of an economic depression without government intervention of some form or another.
